We will be presenting preliminary results from our Woodruff experiment at a number of conferences over the next few months. First, we will be presenting at the American Alliance for Theatre & Education national conference, which will be held in Minneapolis from August 1-5. Our presentation will be on Friday, August 2 from 2:15 to 3:30 pm in a session entitled “Measuring Academic and Social-Emotional Benefits of Multiple Arts Experiences.”
The second presentation will be at the Arts Education Partnership meeting of the National Governors Association in Indianapolis on September 12 and 13. We will be presenting twice, once at 2 pm on the 12th and again at 11:15 on the 13th.
The third presentation will be to the Education Working Group of the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, DC from October 17-19. That gathering is by invitation only.
And the fourth presentation will be to the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management Fall Research Conference, which will be held November 8-10 in Washington, DC. Our presentation will be from 8:30 to 10 am on Friday, November 9, as part of a panel entitled, “Arts Education in the United States: National Education Policies for Arts Education and Studies on the Impact of Arts Education Experiences for Youth Development Using Cross-Sectional, Longitudinal, and Randomized Control Methods.”
We’d love to see you at any of these gatherings if you can attend! Please bring your good questions and suggestions, which will help us improve this work as we move forward.
